I wonder if folks realize how much violence is actually going on in the world, especially here in Hampton. Domestic, community or school violence. When children witness violence in the home, they are more likely to carry it to their schools and communities. I would like to remind parents that what you exhibit in your home reflects back on your children even when you don't think they are watching you or paying attention to you...THEY ARE. Parents or guardians need to be the role models children take after, not strangers. Try constructive "fighting" Strategic on how to solve problems in the home without actual fist fighting or controlling factors. Remember when we were young, we got into fights only because we were not mature enough to know better, but as you grow and become wiser, you put aside foolish things. Communication is the key. If you cannot talk to the person who you deal with, it's time to thing about who is healthy enough to sit on your front row or decide who you need to put up in the balcony to love from afar. Decide who lifts you up not down. People you deal with can have a huge impact on the way you live your life. They can influence you without you even knowing it, hopefully for the good, not the bad. There is a saying "Association brings on Simulation." I want to surround myself with people who lift me up and are going places.
